I was born on 9/11 and have spent years since getting to know my country, the United States of America. I am no longer the blind and dumb pollyanna of my liberal past. I now believe I have to fight for the survival of the blessed country my 4th great grandfather, Rufus Putnam, fought for. If you don't believe in the US Constitution or the goodness of America, you are not my friend.
"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States."
--Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, 10 October 1787
Samuel Adams, speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776: "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
